Frequently asked questions.

Kadastra is an online property-monitoring service for the canton of Valais, Switzerland. Every working day, it reads the canton's official publications and emails you whenever a building permit application, zoning plan or municipal regulation may concern your parcels or their surroundings. The aim: to hear about a project when it goes on public display, not when the diggers arrive.

Kadastra Home is for private owners of a house, chalet, condominium flat or plot of land in Valais. It is especially useful for second-home owners, who are not around when the building profiles go up, and for families or heirs managing a property from afar. Each parcel is monitored with its surroundings, within 100 metres by default.

Kadastra Pro is for property management firms, estate agencies and managers who look after many properties in Valais. The whole portfolio is imported from a single file, and each alert is linked to your own file reference. Applications affecting your mandates arrive grouped together, with no one having to comb through the canton's official publications.

Not yet. For now, Kadastra alerts are only available for parcels in the canton of Valais. The Kadastra team is working on solutions for other cantons.

No. Kadastra is a private, independent service published by PMAX SA, with no connection to the State of Valais, the municipalities or the land register. It reads the official publications of the canton of Valais, publicly available on the Official Gazettes Portal: only the official publication is legally binding, including for the objection period.

Official publications in Valais are free, but following them yourself means reading every single one. Each identifies the land by its parcel number, not by its distance from your home: an unfamiliar number can be 30 metres from your door. Kadastra does this sorting every working day and only contacts you when a publication may concern you.

Add your parcels. We take care of the rest.
